David Willis retired as a Detective Inspector on the Met’s Murder Investigation Teams, after a long career as a highly effective detective. He served locally in south and later central London, working CID offices mostly dealing with volume and serious acquisitive crime. Then he migrated onto specialist crime, to include time with the Flying Squad and Counter Terrorism Command.
David was an exceptional SIO on numerous murder Investigations. A thorough investigator, one who would not let any viable investigative lead drop until it was proportionate to professionally discontinue.
He now works in Education Welfare and as an occasional trainer of current detectives.
